MISSION
SPECIALIZATION Program in Sierrra Leone took a three-pronged approach: traditional healers conducted cleansing rituals to relieve girls of spiritual impurity: the whole community was involved to make the cleansing official to help with reintegration with the community. Secondly, a skills training program was started, and thridly, ex-combatants were involved in civic works projects alongside non-combatants enabling them to earn money and become part of the community again.

NAME Watchlist
WEBSITE http://watchlist.org/the-countries/sudan/
MISSION As a network of international non-governmental organizations, the Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict strives to protect children in war zones. Together with our local and international partners, we strategically collect and disseminate information on violations against children throughout the world and use this information to advocate for change.
Watchlist provides its partners with technical support and advice to strengthen their ability to monitor abuses, to advocate on behalf of children in their communities and to respond to the immediate needs of victims.
Watchlist then takes the information directly to key decision-makers at the UN Security Council where we recommend policy changes and advocate for the adoption and implementation of global child protection policies.
